In 2013, the MasterCard Global Destination Cities Index ranked Bangkok as the world’s top tourist destination.
Bangkok has two main airports: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport (DMK). Both serve both domestic and international flights. Suvarnabhumi is the largest and most modern main airport, while Don Mueang is the oldest airport, primarily serving low-cost carriers and domestic flights.
